Behavioral health is a key component of overall health and refers to the topics of mental distress, mental health conditions, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and substance use.
Behavioral Health professionals promote well-being by addressing factors at multiple levels, including promoting well-being, preventing mental distress, and providing access to treatments and services for mental health conditions.

The practice of medicine, as an advanced practitioner or physician, involves a combination of education, training, and clinical skills. Advanced practitioners have completed graduate level education and training, often specializing in a specific area of healthcare. Physicians have completed medical school, a residency program, and in some cases, additional fellowship training. They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, and are licensed to diagnose, treat, and manage complex health conditions and prescribe medications.
